Trip Highlights
This itinerary includes one night in Dar es Salaam and two nights in Mikumi village at the campsite with safari
After arrival, you will be picked up to your hotel in Dar es Salaam, and the driver/guide will take you around for site seeing, either you will go visit the village museum, down town or to the southern side of Dar es salaam for the nice beach, and also you will have time to prepare yourself for the trip in the following day.
While on the transfer to Mikumi Village, you will pass through the villages where you will have a chance to stop and visit a local markets, breakfast and lunch on the way. As your accommodation will be at the campsite in the Mikumi village just about two kilometers after crossing the National Park, so in this day you will have a chance to see some animals while crossing the park. You can visit the village’s local markets and shops around the village.
The following day you will be heading to the in Mikumi National Park, here you may have a lot to see, but always it depends how lucky you are as you know it is a wild animals and living in their territory and not a zoo, therefor animals they are free and go any direction they want, but our duty is to find them. Some animals are weak on site seeing but they are good in smelling, you should avoid uncovered fruits, while you are in the park you don’t do nothing without a permission from your driver/guide, there's places you will be allowed to drop out of your jeep, and other places you will not be allowed. While in the park, we say all animals are dangerous no matter how big or small they are, some are too aggressive and some are too shy or hate noise, so to make noise would scare them and run away thus you don’t have a great moment, or you will make them charge and cause problems, so the chief guide has the final say about all the situations in the park.
The way back you have a chance to pass by the local markets for souvenirs and gift for your loved ones!
